Kate
Pentland, Director
My name is Kate Pentland and I am delighted to be the new Director here
at Canal Town Nursery School.
I grew up in Marion, New York and am a graduate of Marion High School.
I completed my undergraduate degree in Childhood Education from SUNY
Oswego and my Masters in Literacy at the University at Albany. While
living in the Albany area I taught Pre-School to three and four year
olds and went on to teach AIS Reading and Math to students in grades 3,
4, 5, and 6.
Recently my husband and I moved back the area where we bought our first
home and welcomed our first child, Keira Marie. She is now 16 months old
and a huge bundle of energy!
I truly enjoy the journey of watching young children grow and become
active learners in this world!
When I’m not teaching I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling,
reading, running, snowboarding, and kayaking.
I look forward to a fantastic and fun school year!

Kelly Williamson
Hi my name is Kelly Williamson and I am the mom of two wonderful little
boys: Griffin age 7 and Bailey age 5. I have lived in Palmyra all my
life. I graduated from Pal Mac and went on to attain an Associates
Degree in Applied Sciences from Finger
Lakes Community College. I have spent many years working with
children in various educational settings; daycare during high school and
college and universal pre kindergarten before becoming a stay at home
mom. I enjoy playing basketball with my sons and riding bikes with them
as well. My personal interests are reading, exercising (running is my
favorite), and cooking and baking.

Cindy Mulla
Hi my name is Cindy Mulla and I'm thrilled to be working at Canal Town
Nursery School! I grew up in the city of Rochester, New York and
graduated from East High School. I was a Licensed Daycare Provider for
a little over ten years. Besides providing me with valuable childcare
experience, this also allowed me to stay home and raise my four
daughters. I have been married to my husband for almost twenty years.
We attend Saint Joseph's Church in Penfield. We volunteer our time
through our church and various other community organizations. Recently
our oldest daughter has been accepted to Syracuse University. She will
be starting her freshmen year in Communication Design. When I'm not
working or driving to and from soccer and volleyball games, we enjoy
spending time with each around the dinner table sharing the days
events. My pastimes are reading good books, cooking new recipes,
watercolor painting, and watching classic movies in my spare time. I'm
looking forward to a FUNTASTIC year with the kids!

Lisa Perry
My name is Lisa Perry, and I'm excited to be teaching at CTNS this year!
CTNS has been a big part of my life for awhile now; as a board member,
substitute, aide and of course, a mom!
Before coming here, I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary/Early
Childhood Education from SUNY Fredonia, where I met my husband. We moved
to Palmyra when he got a job teaching in the district, and fell in love
with the village! I taught for two years at a private school in
Fairport, until we found out I was expecting our first child. I've been
at home with them ever since! Elizabeth is now in 4th grade, Katie in
1st, and Ricky is in the 4 year old program at Canal Town.
Aside from helping with homework and cutting out shapes from class, I
helped found the Newark-Palmyra chapter of the MOMS Club, am an active
member in La Leche League, and love to knit (albeit not very well!),
read, learn sign language, and try to learn to play my guitar!
